How To get To Loyola

Where Loyola University is Located:

The lakeshore campus of Loyola University at Chicago is located in the Roger's Park neighborhood on the northeast side of Chicago. 

 

If you're traveling by car:

Parking

Chicago has a good interstate and road system, though parking in a garage in the city can cost $20-30 per day.  Roger's Park primarily has street parking which may be free or metered.  Be careful to check signs when parking for any time restrictions.

From O'Hare Airport

Take I-190 East to Chicago. Merge onto I-90 East to Chicago. Take I-90 East to the Lawrence Avenue exit. Take a left on Lawrence going east until you reach Sheridan Road. Turn left onto Sheridan Road and continue until you reach Winthrop Avenue. Turn left on Winthrop Avenue.

From Midway Airport

Take Cicero Avenue north until you reach I-55. Take the exit for I-55 North into downtown Chicago. Take the Lake Shore Drive exit; continue on Lake Shore Drive going north until you reach Sheridan Road where Lake Shore Drive ends. Turn right onto Sheridan Road and continue to Winthrop Avenue. Turn left on Winthrop Avenue.

From I-80, I-55 and the Southwest

Take the exit for I-55 North into downtown Chicago. Take the Lake Shore Drive exit; continue on Lake Shore Drive going north until you reach Sheridan Road where Lake Shore Drive ends. Turn right onto Sheridan Road and continue to Winthrop Avenue. Turn left on Winthrop Avenue.


From I-88 and the West

Take I-88 East to Chicago. Take the exit for I-294 West north to Wisconsin. Take the exit for I-90 East to Chicago. Take I-90 east to the Lawrence Avenue Exit. Take a left on Lawrence going east until you reach Sheridan Road. Turn left onto Sheridan Road and continue until you reach Winthrop Avenue. Turn left on Winthrop Avenue.


From I-94 and the South/Southeast

Please note that the southern section of the Dan Ryan Expressway (I-94) through the city will be under construction and will cause delays. Allow extra travel time, especially during morning and afternoon rush hour times. Please follow the detour signs and exit onto Stony Island Drive from the Chicago Skyway. Take the exit for I-55 North into downtown Chicago. Take the Lake Shore Drive exit; continue on Lake Shore Drive going north until you reach Sheridan Road where Lake Shore Drive ends. Turn right onto Sheridan Road and continue to Winthrop Avenue. Turn left on Winthrop Avenue.


From I-94 and the North

Take I-94 East south to Chicago. Take the exit for Touhy Avenue East. To stay on Touhy, bear right once you cross Ridge Road, continue on Touhy Avenue until you reach Sheridan Road. Take a right on Sheridan Road. Continue on Sheridan Road to the Devon/Broadway/Sheridan intersection and turn left. Turn right on Winthrop Avenue.

 

If you're traveling by public transit:

The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) has a good system of buses and trains that makes traveling throughout the city easy and cost efficient.


Loyola University at Chicago is conveniently located off the Loyola stop on the Red Line.

From O'Hare Airport:

 

Take the Blue Line train toward Forrest Park

Get off at the Lake stop and transfer to the Red Line train toward Howard

Take the Red Line train to Loyola stop

 

From Midway Airport:

 

Take the Orange Line train to Roosevelt stop

Transfer to Red Line train at Roosevelt toward Howard

Get off at the red line train at Loyola stop

 

From Chicago Union Station:

 

Exit station toward Canal St.

Walk South on Canal St. toward W. Jackson Blvd.

S Canal St turns right and becomes W Tilden St

Turn Left at S. Clinton St.

Enter Clinton St. Blue Line Train Station

Take Blue Line Train toward O'Hare

Transfer to Red Line train at Jackson stop

Take Red Line train toward Howard

Get off Red line train at Loyola stop
