Staff Profiles
Stacey Hafner has been organizing for social change on college campuses for over a decade. In college at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, she worked with the student government on campus to fight for lower tuition, more financial aid, and worked to register her fellow students to vote. She went on to work with the State Public Interest Research Groups as a Campus Organizer in Wisconsin for two years and then in Massachusetts as an Assistant Organizing Director (AOD). In her role as the Western Massachusetts AOD, she worked closely with the staff of the National Student Campaign Against Hunger and Homelessness organizing events in Massachusetts and Connecticut. She officially joined the staff of the National Student Campaign in May of 2006 as the National Conference Director and became the Organizing Director in December 2006.
Natalie Holtzinger has a history of civic engagement and student training rooted in her experiences as a student. During a three-year tenure as a Civic Intern at DePauw University's Hartman House for Civic Engagement, Natalie coordinated homelessness awareness and volunteer programs, oversaw an umbrella organization with 30 direct service programs in the local community and eventually oversaw and trained student interns. It was during this time that she first attended the National Student Conference on Hunger and Homelessness in Boston and became resolute in her passion for fighting poverty. After graduating from DePauw, she came on staff in August 2008 with the State Public Interest Research Groups as a Campus Organizer in Missouri. Natalie finally joined the National Student Campaign Against Hunger and Homelessness as the Conference Organizer in December 2008 and is excited to have been involved in planning the conference that she enjoyed attending as a student.
